4-20-08 ? Let me start by apologizing for not posting any updates. Beau has decided to step up to a full size car this year and we have been very busy building the new car. We will have pictures of the car posted soon!
We did get the car completed last week and took it to the track for the first race of the year. Beau will be racing the high banks of Salem Speedway this year. He did not get the chance to actually test at the track before the first race, but we went anyway.
We were scheduled to race after the ARCA race last weekend at Salem. Beau had the chance to at least practice (around fifteen laps) before he had to qualify. The car was pretty good off the trailer, taking in consideration we did not get it completed until late the night before.
Beau took to the track right away and started running in the fast groove. The only issue we had before qualifying was a slight rear axle seal leak, causing the car to be loose in the turns throughout practice. We repaired the leak and Beau was set to qualify. He went out and was given one lap to come up to speed, with the second lap counting towards his qualifying time. Beau ran a very good lap in qualifying and topped the charts at third fastest qualifier. We were very happy with the results and due to the draw for the starting positions; Beau was scheduled to start on the pole of the feature race.
Unfortunately, we did not get to race that weekend, due to rain, The race will be made up later in the year. I will try to keep the posting up to date in the future. Thanks for everyone patients!
Beau will be racing this coming weekend (weather permitting) at Salem. The schedule is posted in the schedule tab of the web page.

4-28-08 ? Beau made his first race at the Salem Motor Speedway this last weekend. He qualified 4th out of eighteen cars. This placed him on the outside of the second row for the start of the feature. When the green flag flew Beau settled into the third position. He maintained the position for three laps, before the fourth place car was able to get around him. He ran with the lead cars for another seven laps, before he had a spin coming off the number two turn. Due to him being the cause for the caution, he had to fall back to the end of the lead lap cars. This put him in the tenth position. After the restart, he gained a couple of position, before he spun again out of turn two. Again this caused him to go back to the end of the lead lap cars. After the restart, Beau started working his way back through the field again. He was able to work his way back to the seventh position before the race was over.
Our main goal this last weekend was to finish the race and bring the car back in good shape. Beau accomplished both goals and gained valuable track time. The more seat time he gets the better he will become.
We want to thank all of the fans that came to the track to support Beau. We also want to THANK Mike Kruer for helping in the pits this week and Red Worrell for doing a great job spotting for Beau during the race.

4-20-08 Beau had a good weekend at Salem this past weekend. We struggled with the car during practice, but with the help of Hector Nale we were able to make it better before qualifying. Beau qualified fifth fast out of the field of eighteen.
Due to the first race being a make up from a rain out, Beau started on the pole. He did not get a good start and was shuffled back to seventh, before he could get in the racing groove. He maintained his composer and worked his way back to the fifth position before the end of the race.
Since he qualified fifth for the second race and due to the invert, he started on the inside of row two. When the green flag flew, Beau was held down until he could move up in sixth place. He again used great patients and worked his way back to fifth place by the end of the race. Beau set two goals for the weekend. One was to finish in the top five, which he did twice. The other was to maintain good control of the car and not spin during any of the races, which he achieved as well.
We want to thank Hector Nale for stepping up and spotting for Beau during the races. Hector did an outstanding job! We also want to thank all of Beau’s friends, family and fans for coming to the track to support him. Next race is June 7 at 7:00 pm.

7-5-08 Well it has been a while since the last update. Beau has been very busy over the last few weeks. He did an appearance at the Huber family farm and Restaurant. On June 7 he competed at Salem. Beau qualified fifth fast and finished fifth in the feature.
Beau’s last race was on June 28. Beau was a little to cautious in qualifying and turned a lap good for only sixth fast. He started in the sixth position for the feature race and ran a very smart race. Beau had his best finish of the year in the fourth position. He was in a very close battle for the third position at the end of the race. Again he used great judgment and choose not to wreak himself or the third place car. He settled for third and rolled in on the trailer at the end of the night. We want to send out special thanks to the Nale brother for helping at the race track the last few races. Both Hector and Eric have spotted for beau and did an outstanding job!

7-19-08 Beau completed another good weekend at Salem Speedway. We struggled with the car throughout the practice session. The car was extremely tight during the first practice. We made a couple of changes before the second practice and the car was not much better.
Thanks to the help Frank Kimmel gave us after the second practice we made a couple of more changes. Beau qualified third fast and due to the invert draw was scheduled to start in the fifth position for the feature race. The start of the feature was good and beau settle into the fifth position for the first two laps. He ran door to door with Tony Conway for the next couple of laps before working his way to the third position.
Beau settled into the third position and set out for the two cars in front of him. They ran in a tight pack for the next 25 laps. With five laps to go the car bottomed out hard in turns three and four, causing Beau to jump against the outside wall. He ran the next lap pretty conservative, feeling out the car for possible damage. After making sure the car was good he set out again to catch the leaders. Taking into consideration the lap 35 brush with the wall, we were happy with a third place finish. This was his best finish this year to date. We are very pleased with the results so far and hope to continue them throughout the rest of the season.
6-18-08 We arrived at the track on Saturday August 16 for the race. The car was very good right off the trailer. We made a couple of minor changes to the setup during practice. Beau turned his best qualifying time of the year, good enough for fourth fastest overall.
This was the second race of the year which he had to run a heat race. Beau started in the fourth position for the heat and at the end of the eight lap race he finished fourth.
Beau again started in the fourth position for the feature race and had a very good start. Once the cars settled in after the start, Beau started working his way to the front of the field. After just two and a half laps, Beau took over the lead (without touching any of the other competitors). He led for the next two laps, before one of the other racers became impatient and got into the left rear tire and cut it down. We had to make a pit stop to change the tire and went a couple of laps down in the process.
Beau maintained his composer for the remainder of the race and finish in the eleventh position, with no major damage to the car. Although the outcome was not what he wanted, he knows he has the car to win and will return to the next race with winning in mind. We want to Thanks EJ and his dad for helping the team out during the weekend!

9-18-08 With the storm damages, it has put us behind on an update for the last race. Beau raced at Salem on September 6. He was third fastest in qualifications. He started sixth in the heat race and finished third. Beau started in the fourth position for the 50 lap feature. Beau raced his way to the second position by the midway of the race and started working on the leader. The car became a little tight by this time. He ran a very clean race and did not want to take a chance in wrecking himself and the leader. He was actually pushing the leader by the end of the race and settled for second for the race. He was very excited after the race as this was his best finish for the season so far. Our last race at Salem is on October 4, This is the Championship night.
10-13-08 Late as usual with an update. The last race of the season for Beau was October 4 at Salem. The weekend went very well. Beau qualified fourth fast and had a very good car. He started on the outside of the second row for the heat race and finished second. Due to the draw for the feature Beau started on the inside of the front row “Pole”. When they dropped the green flag the outside car got loose and caused eau to checkup and he feel back to the fourth position. On the fifth or sixth lap the leader got out of shape coming off of turn two and the second place car assumed the lead. Beau had to checkup as well not to wreck. He settled back into the fourth position and continued to run a Very Clean race. He finished in the fourth position for the feature.
Beau ended the season at Salem and was crowned Rookie of the Year for his class. We are very proud of him! Out of the ten races during the Salem season, He had 9 top 10 finishes and 8 top five finishes. We look forward to the 2009 season and want to Thank all our sponsors during the year to make this possible: Joe Huber Family Farm and Restaurant, Accounting Unlimited, Fosters Water Proofing and Produce, M&D Auto body, Alan’s Automotive, and John Jones Automotive Outlet for making it all possible. We plan to run the Salem Series in 2009 and compete for the championship. Also, congratulations to Frank Kimmel II for winning the championship in 2008.
